Data Center Supervisor
Main Mission
The Data Center Supervisor is responsible for the proper operations of SEMAF data center facilities and to manage a team of data center technicians. It is also responsible for the management of all subsystems required to operate the facilities and maintain the integrity of the data center.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the data center technician(s)

Monitor and manages all data center subsystems Power, UPS, and generators; Cooling; Environmental controls; Fire suppression systems; Security monitoring systems; Floor charge and rack usage; Cabling.

Create and maintain server room operation procedures.

Establish and execute periodical maintenance tests

Organize periodically decontamination of server rooms

Act as point of contact for suppliers and contractors for data center needs.

Escalate any hardware issues or alerts on any equipment

Manage data center physical security

Train the administrator team on basic safety procedures

Lead one of our technological pillar optimizations worldwide.

Carry out all other related tasks.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) certification is an asset.

ITIL v3 certifications are an asset, more specifically related to Change Management.

Proof of continued education such as certifications is desirable; such as; PMP, CISA, ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT5, ISO 27001
Experience:
-
Minimum of 4 years of experience operating a data center.
Knowledge:
-
Expert with data center cooling, power, and UPS, fire suppression, cabling, and racking.
Datacenter lexicon knowledge, Electrical and HVAC knowledge.
