Adviser for H.E. The Minister of Military Production for Digitalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Science and Technology Center of Excellence; STCE affiliated to The National Authority of Military Production (2017 – 2021). He graduated in the Military Technical College in 1975; and got his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering with First Degree Honors. In 1979 he got his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Communications) from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. In 1983, He got a Ph.D. degree from the “Institute National Polytechnique de Toulouse”, Toulouse, France. 

He served for 42 years as an Acting Officer in the Egyptian Armed Forces, where he spent 14 years at the rank of Major General. He also was appointed to several leadership positions in the armed forces, the last of which was the Commander of the Technical Research Center of the Armed Forces, senior research advisor, and then the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Armed Forces Program for Satellite Technology. 

He worked at the US Air Force Research Laboratory; AFRL at Rome / New York State as a Visiting Scientist in the years 1997 – 1987 as a member of the ESEP (Exchange of Scientists and Engineers Program), and also as a Coordinator with the USA Side in the areas of technology transfer.

He also worked as a senior consultant for the Technology Research and Development Program (TRDP), affiliated to the Cabinet (1989 – 1997), also as an arbitrator and external examiner for the projects submitted to the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in the Program for Supporting Cooperation between Companies and Research Entities (ITAC). He worked at Banha Company (Factory 144) since 1989 for eight years in cooperation with Westinghouse Company and then Northrop Grumman Company to produce and test advanced technological radar equipment and antennas.

   He is appointed as Chairman of the Digital Industries Development Committee of the Supreme Council for the Digital Society formed by the Presidential decree No. 501 of 2017, Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Space Agency representing the Ministry of Military Production, Member of the Supreme Committee headed by the Prime Minister to establish the Egyptian Space Agency and the Space Science City as a representative of the Ministry of Defense, Principal Investigator (PI) of the Fourth Industrial Revolution National Alliance and the founder of the National Alliance for the Design and Manufacture of an Egyptian Electric Car, funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, member of the first board of directors of the City of Science and Technology for Electronics Research and Industry,  and member of Board of Directors of the Electronics Research Institute and the Council 0f Space Research and Remote Sensing at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

He is awarded the Military Duty Medal, the Long Service Medal, the Armed Forces Distinguished Service Medal, and the Republic Medal in 2007.
